God really does use you and me

Today we set up a book table in the city centre. Some of the usual helpers were unavailable but it was very good to serve with Nick and Eisa. Although this was Eisa’s first time on the streets and he was concerned about his ability to communicate in English we prayed for God to use him.

Nick was excellent as he manned the table – a natural at inviting passers by to take a Bible then speaking to them when they came over.
And as for Eisa – guess what? God had him just at the right time and place to connect with two Farsi speakers and one Arabic speaker.

We left encouraged that lots of Bibles, Gospels and books had been given away to all kinds of people. There were some good opportunities to share the gospel and God had used us all.

It shouldn’t be a surprise to us though. After all Ephesians 2:10 (CSBA) says:

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

I wonder how God will use you today? Good to pray about that as you begin the adventure of each day.
