I’m using Jonny Raine’s Bible reading plan this year. 5 readings spread across 5 genres over 5 days a week. If you stick to this you will read the Bible through in 1 year. I’m going for a slightly different approach. 3 readings from the Law, the Writings and the NT epistles. If this is too much, I will commit to reading through the Law this year and dip in and out of the others. Let’s see how we do!

My fellow Grace Church Brighton elder, Julian Rebera, reminded us on New Year’s Day that our goal is to know Christ (Philippians 3:10). Good to remember why we discipline ourselves to read, mull over and pray God’s word as Jesus’ disciples.
